The Switchbone's powerful features are logically laid out and intuitive to use. Setting up is easy – the two Switchbone amplifier outputs, Out-1 and Out-2, connect directly to each amp 's instrument inputs: Out-1 is direct coupled and Out-2 is transformer isolated. Use the isolated output if you have an old amp with no ground lug on it's AC cord. The Switchbone's ground lift switch can come in handy to eliminate hum or buzz that may be present due to a ground differential between the two amps.

The fundamental frequencies of an electric bass are about 40 to 600 Hz, but harmonics go all the way up to the ultrasonic frequency range. Many conventional pedal effects make the low end sound thin and lifeless.
