The Bogner Alchemist 212 40-watt, 2 x 12-inch valve guitar combo amp adds modern functionality to a vintage-style amp design. Two channels allow for an complete range of tones and dynamics, providing everything from sparkling clean to scorching via a very handy 4-button footswitch, which also controls boost, delay, reverb, and channel select functions. The Bogner Alchemist 212 combo also contains onboard reverb and delay, a selectable power switch that chooses 40-watts or 20-watts power output, five 12AX7A preamp valves, two 6L6 power valves , and a pair of premium Celestion 12-inch speakers, a G12M and a G12-H30, with the Bogner Alchemist 212.
Features
The Bogner Alchemist 212 guitar combo amp features a 2-channel design, each channel with its own voice and identity. Beginning clean and fast, featuring an open top-end and tight bottom-end, Gold Channel 1 opens gradually to simmering blues tones. Advancing toward saturation, Crunch mode turns up the heat, adding the perfect touch of nastiness with added pick response and increased tonal complexity. Mercury Channel 2 features Bogner gain, creamy, modern and screaming with sustain, offering everything from Brit rock right through to modern metal. Plus, with variable Bright settings, each channel can be customized to match the tone of your guitar and rig. Reverb and Delay, in variable styles and levels, run in parallel separate from the original signal. The result is a rich, living and breathing, fully realized resonance capable of producing a complete tonal landscape. Bogner includes a 4-button footswitch with the Alchemist 212 tube combo amp. Though Reinhold Bogner began designing and building amplifiers long before leaving Germany for the California in 1989, his career really took off soon after arriving in Los Angeles. He modified and built custom amps for guitarists like Steve Stevens, Dan Huff, Allan Holdsworth, Mike Landau and Steve Vai. Eddie Van Halen entrusted Reinhold to overhaul and revitalize his number one Marshall Plexi, with great results. Soon after, Bogner Amplification was born, and the rest, they say, is history. Bogner Alchemist amps and cabinets are handcrafted, using only the finest components available.
